Beca de viaje postdoctoral 2020 de Applied Science

La revista Applied Science (acronimizada Appl. Sci.-Basel, IF=2.217) con sede en Basilea, Suiza, anuncia su bolsa de viaje "Applied Sciences 2020 Travel Award for postdoctoral fellows", de hasta 800 francos suizos (aproximadamente 720 euros al cambio) para participacion en algun congreso internacional durante 2020 en la modalidad Ciencias de la Tierra y Geografia. Además se ofrece la posibilidad de publicar un artículo libre de pago en la propia revista, siempre que se superen la etapa de revisión por pares. Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that applications are open for the Applied Sciences 2020 Travel Award for postdoctoral fellows. The award will support participation at a scientific conference in 2020.

The nominations and applications will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee consisting of senior scholars from the relevant field.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Postdoctoral fellows (within 5 years of receiving PhD) whose research is related to the “Earth Sciences and Geography” field.
• Participation at an international applied sciences-related conference in 2020 (oral presentation or poster).
• The awardee is asked to acknowledge the support of the journal Applied Sciences in his/her presentation or poster.

Applicants are asked to submit the following documents:

• The applicant’s oral or poster abstract for the conference (please provide the conference name and website).
• CV, including a list of publications.
• A letter explaining the choice of the conference and the costs involved.
• A letter of recommendation (max. 400 words) from his/her mentor. 

Each award consists of 800 Swiss Francs and an opportunity to publish a manuscript free of charge in Applied Sciences in 2020 (upon completion of the normal peer-review process).
